Spring is here, and summer is soon to follow. For those that live in multi-season locales, it means sunshine and melting snow. While many rejoice at not having to brave the cold anymore, there are those adventurers who still want to find the snow year-round.

Whether you’re a skier, snowboarder, or snowshoer, here are some of the best places to find snow when the weather is warmer (and where you can continue to wear your ORORO gear).

Mount Bachelor, Oregon

Open until the end of May, Mt. Bachelor has some of the largest terrain footprints open in late season. Located next to Bend, there’s plenty to do outside of hitting the slopes, including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and golfing.

Arapahoe Basin, Colorado

This is a wonderful snowy spring destination because it’s known to stay open late in spring, at least until the end of May, if not later. Some years, skiing has continued into July. In fact, some argue that it’s better to visit Arapahoe Basin in spring thanks to the snow quality.

Alpine Meadows, California

California isn’t all sunshine and palm trees. It actually boasts some great skiing locations. The Alpine Meadows resort is located on a mountain in Tahoe. Here, the nights are cold and the days are sunny, making the perfect climate for spring snow activities. It produces some of the best snow for snowboarding and skiing in spring.

Stubai Glacier, Austria

What better place to find snow than a glacier. Stubai Glacier in Austria is open until June, so there’s plenty of time to hit the slopes in spring. Spring is the peak season for this destination, so there are tons of good deals. There are also many activities including ski lessons, geocaching, and exploring an ice cave.

Banff National Park, Alberta

This Canadian location, Banff is great for snow activity and outdoor adventure. Banff is home to 3 of the best locations to ski in spring, open until mid to late May. Plus, one single lift ticket works at all three resorts, so you have no shortage of options when it comes time to shred. Other nearby attractions include Norquay, Lake Louise, and Banff Sunshine.

For outdoor enthusiasts who don’t mind the snow, it’s not time to pack away the snowboards just yet. There is still plenty of time this spring to hit the slopes, explore, and get use from your favorite ORORO heated apparel.
